Are you fed up of your dark Winter bedroom? Do you want to inject the Spring season into your room but are struggling with where to start? Here are some top tips to help you perform a Spring makeover using simple, versatile cushion covers and other low cost home accessories. Change your cushion covers A quick, low cost way to inject some Spring colour into a room is by adding some bright, floral cushions. This works well in a neutral room or work with your current colour scheme to add contrasting colours and patterns. It is cost effective because you can keep your current cushion pads and simply change the cover to suit the season. You can find a wide selection of Yorkshire Linen cushion covers online for Spring at great prices. If you also have heavy winter bedspreads make sure you change them for lighter, cotton versions which complement your cushions. Easter is super early this year so we are making a start on our craft projects. Baker Ross have sent us a bumper box of Easter themed treats so let's see what we have been up to!
Little I is now 2yrs old so we are way past the bottle feeding stage but with my Sister-in-Law's baby bump getting bigger by the day I am keeping my eye out for new products to make her life a little easier when baby comes. One such new product is the Tommee Tippee Ultra Bottle.
With Easter approaching it is a great time to get the family together, celebrating the arrival of Spring and eating too much chocolate. If you are getting a bit tired of the traditional roast dinner why not shake up your Sunday lunch with an American twist! This month I have teamed up with Newman's Own, the makers of American sauces, salad dressings and marinades to bring you some fun recipes to keep the whole family happy over Easter.
Today we have the delicious Fiery Bourbon Chicken Wings with Blue Cheese Dip which makes an excellent spicy starter.
The littlest member of the family, two year old, Little I, has been road testing a new import to the UK market; Japanese Moony nappies from japanesenappies.co.uk
When they arrived I got a surprise, the thin nappies are actually pull up pants. Perfect for Little I who is super independent and will be potty training soon. She loved them immediately and insisted on wearing her 'big girl pants' instead of her standard nappies. Today is our first World Book Day! Little E has gone off to school as the Bear from Jez Alborough's Where's my Teddy? complete with her own little ted. I popped into school and read the book to Little E's class and they all loved it! We are big book fans in this house, World Book Day is a fantastic way to celebrate our love of books! Linking up to #mycapturedmoment and #readwithme
The day we get Little E's ear signed off by ENT after her operation we end up back at A&E after a nasty playground accident. Looks like she'll be sporting a Harry Potter scar now but we'll focus on that fact that it could have been so much worse. And as always she is smiling!
