Little I is now 2yrs old so we are way past the bottle feeding stage but with my Sister-in-Law's baby bump getting bigger by the day I am keeping my eye out for new products to make her life a little easier when baby comes. One such new product is the Tommee Tippee Ultra Bottle. Both my girls were a nightmare when it came to switching them from breast to bottle. I used the original Tommee Tippee bottles when we switched Little E (now 5yrs old) from breast to bottle at around 9mths old and we loved the shape, hold and feel of the teat and bottle. You can read more about my breastfeeding story here. Little I on the other hand refused pretty much every single bottle and teat combination on the planet and eventually would only take really cheap old fashioned bottles with narrow teats proving each baby is very different! So what has changed on these new Ultra bottles... the answer is a lot! Firstly the shape of the teat is different. It still has that wide head we associate with Tommee Tippee bottles but instead of the 'nipple' part being in the centre of the bottle it ofset towards the bottom, allowing for better flow and a better latch. No more wasting the last few ml's of milk at the bottom because you have to crane baby's neck back to get the right angle. The teat is also angled to help baby to latch on and stay on. There is a contour zone around the teat which helps create a secure seal which reduces air intake and minimises dribbling. The bottle itself is contoured to be ergonomically held and, as expected, it is BPA free for peace of mind. Basically it looks, and operates, more like a boob. Whilst I can't speak for it's use in a practical sense the design looks great and I certainly would have tried using these 'booblike' bottles when weaning my girls as anything which can help smooth the transition from breast to bottle is a winner. All babies are different and in my experience you may have to try a lot of bottles before you hit on the right one but I think this bottle should be high up your 'to try' list. The Ultra is available in 150ml and 260ml sizes (£8.99 each). The bottles come with slow flow teats but you can buy medium and fast flow as baby grows. Available exclusively from Boots I was sent this bottle to review. All opinions are my own.

I love Tommee Tippee products, I live right next to their headquaters so I am always going to buy stuff from the factory shop. I used the bottles on all three of my children, these new ones look great for people combined feeding xx #triedtested

These look really good. My daughter would take any bottle, but my son is six weeks and has tongue tie and he struggles to feed from a bottle as well as a boob! We've tried lots and are currently on Avent which he's a little hit and miss with. I'm tempted to try these, they look great x

I didn't realise how important the right bottle was til I had my first child. The short dumpy bottles were so much more successful than the traditional longer shape!

This is the worst bottle I've ever purchased. It is definitely not "Ultra". I put about 6 ounces in it and 4 ounces end up on my sons face. I don't know how contour the zone is around the teat but it does not give it a better seal or "minimize dribbling". I would not recommend these bottles and if you already bought them you already made your biggest mistake.
