 We often dismiss a child’s anxiety as a temporary phase that they will soon outgrow. However, when anxiety reaches a level to which it hampers your child’s life, parents should seek medical help. Left untreated, serious anxiety may only get worse, not better. Eventually, as a coping mechanism, the child may resort to avoiding any situations they find uncomfortable. Anxiety in our society is a big issue. In the United States alone, 40 million Americans are said to be suffering from anxiety. Meanwhile here in the UK, it is more than 15%.
 Little E turned 8 last month and there was only one thing she wanted to do for her birthday: Go Ape.
We have a Go Ape centre close to us at Tilgate Park, Crawley and the Tree Top Junior course is suitable for children over 1 metre tall. E had chosen two of her school friends, two cousins and her little sister to join her on the course. For every two under 6yr olds one adult is required to participate. As Little I had just turned 5 Husband volunteered to join in the fun. You have to pay for parking at Tilgate Park so make sure you have change and allow plenty of time to find a space as it can be very busy at the weekends and during school holidays.  Home is a special place but those of us with families will know that a tidy living space can be tricky to maintain when you have a lot of stuff and small people added to the mix. But this doesn’t have to the case. With a little focus a mess-free property may be easier to achieve than you expect. I'll explain how in four easy tips.

There are some wardrobe staples I enjoy wearing all year round, a comfy jumper, smart but slightly lairy shirts and a pair of smart casual shoes. I’m always looking for something different and fashion which subtly stands out from the crowd. Spring can be a busy season. At the end of this month, we celebrate Mother’s Day. Then comes Father’s Day in May. What’s more, this time of year seems to be filled with birthdays. For me February is the start of the manic birthday season and with two kids at school children’s parties are often a regular feature, especially as the weather warms up. So, how can we prepare and keep on top of all these celebrations? Here are some suggestions to help you.  This weekend Husband and I had a child free weekend away. Usually we go to the cinema multiple times when the kids are staying with their grandparents (we have a Kids Pass membership which gets us discount tickets) but we didn’t think much of the listings this weekend but we did decide to give the latest Marvel Avengers movie, Captain Marvel, a try just before we left to come home.
And we were certainly pleased we did.  This bumper issue of What I'm Watching... gives you the low down on all the TV shows I've been hooked on over the past few weeks. And as we've been watching loads of movies lately I've decided to include some film recommendations for the first time! Whoop whoop! So grab a notepad and buckle up...
 We all like to live in a nice home. The only problem is that keeping it looking good can cost a lot of money, especially if you have to call in a professional to get the job done. Fortunately, some of the jobs you would have had to pay a tradesperson to do are now relatively easy enough to have a go at yourself.
The availability of modern building materials and new tools has made what were complex skilled tasks super easy. Here are just a few examples.
