Here is Little I refusing to sit in the highchair in a Thai restaurant this week. She had a proper strop then went off to sulk on the sofa...
This week is our very first half term. I am so excited about having Little E home all week! I had a very nasty accident with the spiralizer last week resulting in a deep cut in my middle finger. Despite this I am still very much in love with it and plan on using it for lots more meals this week.
WIN! Skin Doctors Love Your Skin Instant Results Gift Sets Worth £51
The perfect prize as we enter party season. Included in each set is Instant Eyelift Serum and Instant Facelift Serum, both of which work instantly to tighten and tone the skin, reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and leave your skin looking smooth in minutes.
We have two gift sets to give away to two lucky winners. To enter simply complete the Rafflecopter form below by 26th November 2015. Good luck! Husband has had a knee op last week so Little E has become his on-call Doctor. She is extremely thorough with her care and has a strict schedule of morning and evening rounds. She has roped Little I in as a nurse but she's not as dedicated and wanders off mid examination! Her Wannabees Doctor role play kit is very cool. Perfect for budding Junior Doctors out there! I absolutely love to see their imaginations at work. Get well soon Husband! xxx Halloween is a week away! Time to embrace all that is spooky and have some fun with the kids in true Scooby Doo style. Here are my favourite Halloween treats to make this year spooktacular. Aldi have an amazing range of Halloween goodies at super reasonable prices. Our front door will be adorned with battery powered eyeball string lights (£3.99), a scary knocker (£6.99) and pumpkin gel stickers (89p) on the windows. They also have some great party ware to give your table a spooky edge. I love these glow in the dark eyeball ice cubes (£2.99) and Trick or Treat party plates (89p). The mini chocolate pumpkins, ghosts and eyeballs are perfect for little trick or treaters. And it wouldn't be Halloween without a spooky Scooby Do DVD (£3.99). Aldi really is a one stop shop for Halloween this year!
Make the most of your leftovers and win Mission Deli’s supersoft wraps! I've been embracing wraps lately and have tried a few experiments including these fab mini tortilla crust pizzas.
Mission Deli has teamed up with Alex Hollywood to encourage the nation to love their leftovers and Get Wrapping. As part of that, they are offering you the chance to experience your leftovers in new and exciting ways by winning two packs of each of the seven tasty flavours (original, wholemeal, multigrain, white and wheat, sundried tomato and basil, Mediterranean and Original Light).
A recent study found that 44% of Brits pre-prepare meals in advance or bulk cook because it saves them time, and four in 10 do so to save money. Mission found that almost a quarter (23%) of us transform leftovers into delicious sandwiches or wraps. Why not try turning your roast dinner into a roast chicken with Harissa roast veg, feta & minted yoghurt wrap or your leftover bolognese with sour cream and chilli cheddarinto a delicious lunch. Don’t just take their word for it, food psychologist, Dr Christy Fergusson, said “It is not just your imagination; science has proven that some dishes really do taste better the next day. Curry, casseroles, and Bolognese are all packed to the gunnels with ingredients like onions and herbs rich in delicious aromatic qualities which react when you cook them. When you reheat protein (like last night’s roast) you also release more Umami (free standing amino acids) helping it taste richer. When foods sit overnight the flavour compounds combine allowing the Umami compounds to stand out without having to compete with individual flavours. Wrapping up these kind of ingredients really can make an even more delicious meal second time around.”
To be in with a chance to win 10 packs of Mission Deli Wraps (2 of each variety) all you have to do is complete the Rafflecopter form below. You can visit www.missionwraps.co.uk or follow @MissionDeliUK for tasty and creative ideas. Good luck!
