If you have been following my Home series over the past few months you know I have spent a lot of time dreaming about how to improve my home. I thought it was time to share with you some of my favourite finds across the web which I would adore to have in my house. In this post I am focusing on my open plan downstairs which consists of living, dining and kitchen areas which flow together in an L shape. Recliner Sofa Starting in our living area. We made a massive error when buying our sofa 5 years ago. We definitely should have got a recliner to properly relax on when watching TV or reading a book in the evenings. We also should have got leather which can be wiped clean! A must with two kids in the house. There are a fantastic range of leather recliner sofas at Fishpools and I've got my eye on the Alpina electric motion sofa in a beautiful, modern grey leather *swoons* Happy Easter to all my readers! Hope you aren't all in chocolate comas... Linking up to #MySundayPhoto and #MagicMoments
Three years ago I bought some Easter cards kits in the post-Easter Tesco sales super cheap and tucked them away in the cupboard ready for the following year... and promptly forgot all about them! Little E loves making Easter cards, our favourites were the palm stampers we used a couple of years ago, so when we found these earlier this week she was excited to get started.
Note to self: Next time your Dad tells you to put a bottle of bleach in your washing machine just ignore him! (This is my garage so excuse the old floor and manky wall!!!) Linking up to #WickedWednesdays and #BloggerClubUK
The final recipe in my alternative Easter Feast is an exciting vegetarian dish. Perfect as a side dish or to satisfy the non-meat eaters among us. If you have missed my other recipes with Newman's Own sauces in the run up Easter make sure you check them out in my Kitchen Creations category.
Easter has come early at RHS Wisley Gardens in Surrey. We spent a fantastic, chilly day there today hunting the Lindt Gold Bunny which took us on a tour of the gardens and the amazing Glasshouse.
Time for our next alternative Easter lunch idea from Newman's Own. If you missed my Fiery Chicken Wings recipe earlier this week make sure you check it out! Today I have a yummy lamb recipe which will give Dad the perfect excuse to dust off the BBQ...
Are you fed up of your dark Winter bedroom? Do you want to inject the Spring season into your room but are struggling with where to start? Here are some top tips to help you perform a Spring makeover using simple, versatile cushion covers and other low cost home accessories. Change your cushion covers A quick, low cost way to inject some Spring colour into a room is by adding some bright, floral cushions. This works well in a neutral room or work with your current colour scheme to add contrasting colours and patterns. It is cost effective because you can keep your current cushion pads and simply change the cover to suit the season. You can find a wide selection of Yorkshire Linen cushion covers online for Spring at great prices. If you also have heavy winter bedspreads make sure you change them for lighter, cotton versions which complement your cushions. Easter is super early this year so we are making a start on our craft projects. Baker Ross have sent us a bumper box of Easter themed treats so let's see what we have been up to!
