We have been sent another lovely box of kid's craft materials from Baker Ross and Little E could not wait to try out the Unicorn Cushion Sewing Kits. She has been off school unwell this week so we had the perfect opportunity to spend some time together crafting.
For over a year now Husband and I have been eating low carb. It was a huge change for us as we had a very pasta heavy diet before. One thing we still struggle with is snacking. It is so easy to grab a high sugar snack which give you an instant pick me up but ultimately cause a crash soon after.
This recipe uses Potter’s Herbals malt extract as a replacement for refined sugar. The sugar in a malt extract is in the form of maltose which means it is excellent for sustaining blood glucose levels. The energy bars have the citrus zing of orange, combined with the sweetness of dried fruits and the nutty tang of peanut butter. The malt, peanut butter and oats all create a slow release energy bar that will keep you energised throughout the day. For the last few months I've been catching words on the breeze, snippets of conversation overhead in coffee shops and at parties. 'The Walking Dead is amazing, brilliant, fantastic...' I didn't want to know anymore. I don't do zombies.
Then the conversation reached my dinner table. I've hadn't heard such praise for a show since Breaking Bad (RIP Walter). 'It's not really about the zombies' was the sentence which convinced me to give it a try.
Masha and the Bear, a charming new DVD collection, goes on sale Monday 25th April and we have a copy to giveaway to one lucky winner!
After You is JoJo Moyes much anticipated sequel to Me Before You, a book I read on holiday a few years ago and cried myself to sleep after I finished it. So I was expecting more of the same from the follow up.
I quit my job after Little I was born. I had worked at my old company for 10yrs so it was a massive decision but the costs of childcare for 2 was just crazy. I simply could not see the point in working simply to pay someone else to look after my kids. Easy decision when I looked at it like that.
Over the past few weeks I have featured some stunning recipes using Newman's Own sauces including delicious Minced Lamb BBQ Skewers and Firey Bourbon Chicken Wings. Now I have some of the newest and best selling sauces to giveaway to a lucky reader!
