I've had the honour of hosting a few baby showers this year and the games are always so much fun. I want to share with you the best baby shower games as free printable downloads which you can print straight from your computer to save you time and money.
I've put my creative hat on and designed two games; Animal pregnancy, guests have to match the number of days gestation with the correct animal, and Karaoke Baby, a fun fill in the missing lyrics game with, of course, a baby theme! Both games can be played in teams or as individuals and work well as ice breakers, games to play over snacks or filler games to whip out during a lull.

This time next week I will be madly ironing school uniforms and packing PE kits. I can't believe how fast the summer holidays have flown! Little E will be starting Year 1 and Little I will be starting a proper Pre-School. I've been spending the summer gathering together all the new uniform, shoes and accessories but there are still a few bits I need to get. Here's my roundup of the best back to school essentials for children off to primary school and pre-school. UniformI'm usually a BHS shopper for a school uniform but not they are out of business I've had to shop around. Tesco have a great range of basic school wear at very good prices but I have found the quality a bit suspect, especially the tights which were threadbare after a month last Winter. M&S are more expensive but their clothes do last longer so worth the extra pennies.
Thai food is one of Husband's favourite cuisines but due to my coriander allergy it is always tricky for me to navigate so I tend to avoid it. So when Thaikhun invited us to review their Guildford Restautant which serves authentic Thai street food he was jumping for joy while I was a little hesitant.
We are big fans of Newman's Own marinades and sauces in this house so you have probably seen loads of their recipes on the blog. One of the things I love about the brand is that all profits go to charity. So you can enjoy yummy food knowing you are helping people all over the world.
To date £4 million has been awarded to UK charities and this month spokesman, comedian Harry Hill, announced that the Newman's Own Foundation has committed £150,000 for registered UK children's charities! Applications are now open and charities meeting the requirements are encouraged to submit their grant application requests by Monday 5th September, 2016. Final grants will be announced on 21st November.
Sun cream is the bane of my life. It gives me spots, stains my clothes and makes my flip flops slippery. In my quest to find the perfect sun cream I have put to the test some bespoke sun creams to see how they fair on my problematic skin and my kid's super fair skin. So here's the latest four on trial: Ultrasun, Calypso, Eriis and Brush on Block.
Regular readers of my blog will know how often my kids end up in A&E (we are considering hiring our own parking space) so I was the natural choice to take part in the Family First Aid Kit Challenge by Bausch + Lomb, the leading experts in eye care.
The Family First Aid Kit Challenge has been created to highlight how we are often unprepared for those all to common daily family healthcare emergencies. The challenge entailed me sharing the contents of my first aid kit and receiving some expert analysis from a pharmacist to check on what I have (and don't have) in my kit. So how did we get on?
If you have tried the new Ultra bottle from Tommee Tippee then you know the new design is a baby bottle like no other. It has a breast like shape for a natural latch, a contour zone for a secure seal and it is angled for a smooth flow. You can read more about the new Ultra bottle in my review and Tommee Tippee have given me 2 Ultra bottles to give away to a lucky winner.
It's all been very quiet on the blog but for good reason - We've been on holiday!
After a false start when Little I got a stomach bug and ended up in hospital on a drip the day we were meant to be travelling, we made it to France a few days late and had a fantastic break. My Mum even popped across on the Eurostar for a few days. Back home and back to reality now! |
