Little E turned 8 last month and there was only one thing she wanted to do for her birthday: Go Ape.
We have a Go Ape centre close to us at Tilgate Park, Crawley and the Tree Top Junior course is suitable for children over 1 metre tall. E had chosen two of her school friends, two cousins and her little sister to join her on the course. For every two under 6yr olds one adult is required to participate. As Little I had just turned 5 Husband volunteered to join in the fun. You have to pay for parking at Tilgate Park so make sure you have change and allow plenty of time to find a space as it can be very busy at the weekends and during school holidays.

Home is a special place but those of us with families will know that a tidy living space can be tricky to maintain when you have a lot of stuff and small people added to the mix. But this doesn’t have to the case. Keeping your home tidy becomes much easier when you have the right storage solutions in place. Investing in customised organisation systems can make everyday clutter far more manageable, which is why working with Closet & Cabinet Experts can be such a smart long-term choice for busy families.
WIth a little focus a mess-free property may be easier to achieve than you expect. I'll explain how in four easy tips. To say Husband was a little excited when Jacamo asked if he'd like to review some clothes from their range would be an understatement! Here's what he thought of the online men's fashion retailer...
There are some wardrobe staples I enjoy wearing all year round, a comfy jumper, smart but slightly lairy shirts and a pair of smart casual shoes. I’m always looking for something different and fashion which subtly stands out from the crowd. Jacamo have a great selection of clothing, shoes and accessories and with sizes ranging from small through to 5XL they have clothes for larger men, smaller blokes and everyone in between. Spring can be a busy season. At the end of this month, we celebrate Mother’s Day. Then comes Father’s Day in May. And in between these dates Easter will occur and of course that means the kids are off school for two weeks.
What’s more, this time of year seems to be filled with birthdays. For me February is the start of the manic birthday season and with two kids at school children’s parties are often a regular feature, especially as the weather warms up. So, how can we prepare and keep on top of all these celebrations? Here are some suggestions to help you. This weekend Husband and I had a child free weekend away. Usually we go to the cinema multiple times when the kids are staying with their grandparents (we have a Kids Pass membership which gets us discount tickets) but we didn’t think much of the listings this weekend but we did decide to give the latest Marvel Avengers movie, Captain Marvel, a try just before we left to come home.
And we were certainly pleased we did. This bumper issue of What I'm Watching... gives you the low down on all the TV shows I've been hooked on over the past few weeks. And as we've been watching loads of movies lately I've decided to include some film recommendations for the first time! Whoop whoop! So grab a notepad and buckle up...
We all like to live in a nice home. The only problem is that keeping it looking good can cost a lot of money, especially if you have to call in a professional to get the job done. Fortunately, some of the jobs you would have had to pay a tradesperson to do are now relatively easy enough to have a go at yourself. The availability of modern building materials and new tools has made what were complex skilled tasks super easy.
When planning DIY upgrades it’s important to have the right protective gear on hand, especially for tasks like sanding, painting, or cutting materials. High-quality eye protection is high on the priority list and if you're a glasses wearer like me, prescription safety goggles make these projects both safer and far more comfortable than wearing googles over glasses, ensuring you can tackle home improvements with confidence. Here are just a few examples of DIY you can try out in your own home.
I am a huge for of the Leap Frog range of products to help children learn to read and write. My girls have both enjoyed using the range to aid their reading, writing and comprehension. I have an amazing LeapReader system to give away to one lucky reader.
If you’re looking for somewhere to take the kids for short break away, Bognor Regis may not be your first choice. However, despite its not so glamorous reputation, the town actually has plenty of great family-friendly entertainment. It’s also known to be Britain’s sunniest town.
So, if you’re looking for a staycation idea that’s affordable, family-friendly and which gives you the best chance of enjoying a nice sunny getaway, Bognor Regis is definitely a town to consider. Here, you’ll discover how to enjoy a great staycation in the town on an affordable budget. If it’s cold, wet, snowy or all of the above outside then your first thought might not be ‘let’s go out!’.
But there are plenty of great winter activities for you and your family to go out and enjoy. After all, we all have happy memories of playing in the snow as children; it’s a fundamental part of growing up. Picking the right activity is one part but being well-prepared is equally as important. Here are a few things that will help your outdoor adventure go smoothly. |
