Vacuuming has to be one of my most hated household chores. Heavy vacuum cleaners really play up my sciatica and I get so annoyed bashing into furniture. And let's not even discuss having to continually plug and unplug as you move around the house. So it is pretty safe to say I've had my eye on a cordless vacuum cleaner for a while.

Enter the Beldray Cordless Quick Vac Light - a space saving light cordless vacuum which has an RRP of £199 but is currently an absolute bargain at just £55 from your local Wilko store.

But is it any good? Well read on for our full review...
Beldray Cordless Quick Vac Lite 2 in 1 Vacuum Cleaner Review - picture of boxed vacuum cleaner
You know this vacuum is light because I could pick up the box by the handle with one finger. Inside you find the main vacuum unit and the 4 different head accessories plus a charging cable and manual.

You'll need to charge your Quick Vac Site for 4-5hrs before first use but once fully charged you should get up to 45 mins operating time. There are two suction functions and the stronger function will drain your battery faster. It's super easy to remove each tool and pop the other on. The only problem is the different heads don't fit on the main unit so you will have to carry them around each room with you as you need them.

The floor brush head is great for quickly running over the kids bedrooms but it didn't pick up hair as well as the big powered vacuums but perfect for a quick run over between the big weekly clean. There is a carpet or hard floor adjuster on the floor brush head so you can easily switch between the floor surfaces using your foot.

Where the Beldray Quick Vac Lite really comes into it's own is the stairs. We all now how cumbersome traditional vacuums can be on the stairs and this little unit it the ideal solution. Using the crevice and brush tools I made quick work of our staircase.

Because it is so light the kids can actually use it to! This is possibly the most exciting thing that has happened since their birth. The eldest is also super please the purple version we were sent matches her bedroom...

Emptying the dust unit was a little tricky as all our dust etc was stuck up inside. We had get a pen to hook it down. If you are vacuuming the whole house you will need to empty it a couple of times as it isn't huge but perfect for small areas. It packs down so small you can fit it in a drawer - perfect for small households.

Overall the Beldray Quick Vac Lite 2 in 1 Vacuum Cleaner is perfect for giving the floor a quick spruce up. I'll still give my carpets a heavy duty clean once a week using our main (heavy) vacuum but the lightweight nature of the cordless unit means me and the kids can keep on top of the cleaning with much less effort and less pain for me.

I really need something like this for both home and work. I will have to hint to both my other half (I don't mind things like this being gifted to me for Christmas) and work on saving for one for work. They are so useful.

I would love one of these for some areas of my house! Our vacuum is quite bulky.

This looks great and very compact too. I find lots of vacuums are quite clunky and heavy.

We don't have any stairs in our flat, but I can see how this would be super useful if you had to vacuum a lot of stairs.

That's a huge reduction and I love how small it breaks down to store away. We're currently looking for a cordless vacuum so I'll definitely check this one out.
