We all know what a stressful and time-taking activity carpet cleaning is. It is best to use natural products for the purpose that do not cause allergies or skin irritation problems. There are various methods that can be applied for removing stains and in this article, we will reveal you some of them. Check them out!

Universal Method for Carpet Cleaning

Universal tip for carpet cleaning: mineral water works wonders for fresh spots. Simply pour the water onto the stain and use a towel or microfibre cloth to absorb the dirt that has been dissolved in it.

Generally speaking, mineral water is a useful first aid for a soiled carpet. It does not really matter what kind of stain it is - from the red wine drop to the coffee splashes a little mineral water on the scene of the accident ensures order. However, mineral water is not always enough to get rid of stains.

Cleaning Ink Stains From a Carpet

If the ink stain is very small, or if there are many small "speckles", then the handle to the ink killer is worthwhile. Since this is already present in most school cases, a new purchase is usually not necessary. With the white tip of the ink killer fine ink spots on the carpet can be quickly and effectively removed. Afterwards, it is worthwhile to wash out the affected areas with a little water.

If no ink killer is on hand, shaving cream can also be used in stain removal. It is sprayed on the affected area and foamed with a little water. Afterwards the foam should dry and act as far as possible before it is removed with the vacuum cleaner. This treatment option is particularly suitable for larger spots.

Salt should also be effective in removing ink spots from carpet fibers. For this, salt is sprinkled on the fresh ink stain and gently pressed. If the stain is already dry, it can be moistened beforehand with a little water. After a contact time of about half an hour, the affected area is washed out with a damp sponge. If there is still a dark shadow left, it can be soaked in milk for a few hours before clear water is used again for final rinsing.

Cleaning Make up Stains from a Carpet

If you currently have eucalyptus oil on hand, you can also try it. Just add a few drops of the oil to the stain and let it work for a few minutes. Wait until the stain is soaked and then rinse it with water. You can do the same with lipstick stains.

Cleaning Grease Stains from a Carpet

It can happen quickly, comfortably watching a movie on the couch in the evening and suddenly drop something oily or greasy on the carpet. The faster you respond, the better! Dried grease stains are often very difficult to remove. The best way to try our home cleaning methods for greasy spots.

Good old flour - with conventional flour, you can treat perfectly fresh grease stains. Just put some flour on the stain and let it work. After a few minutes you simply vacuum the remains with the vacuum cleaner and the stain may have disappeared

Salt water - With dried grease stains salt water helps best. First, you need to soak the grease stain and then create a salt solution (dissolve salt in water). Now apply the liquid with a sponge on the stain. With a little rubbing the grease stains should disappear.

Different Ways of Stain Removal

Of course, you always want to remove fresh spots as quickly as possible. But when they have dried, the question arises, in what way can this be tackled. If the stain is relatively small, punctual cleaning by means of home remedies or with a special stain remover is usually sufficient. For large stains, it may be useful to clean the entire carpet.

Reason: The stain removal sprays or powders available in the drugstore often clean the fibres so thoroughly that afterwards the carpet is absolutely clean again at this point, while the rest is dingy. A complete cleaning of the carpet can be carried out both dry (with a cleaning powder) and moist with the help of a wet vacuum cleaner and a special cleaning agent. The latter variant is particularly suitable for floor coverings, as long as the respective substrate allows this.

All the mentioned methods for cleaning are quite helpful when fighting stains. However, we all know that some stains are more difficult to remove than expected. In such cases, you can always rely on Prolux Carpet Cleaners! This is the best help you can get from a professional cleaning company, covering all the areas in London.
