Just before Christmas One4all, the multi retailer gift card challenged me to shop for the perfect outfit using one of their loaded gift cards. I was super excited and had a wonderful day shopping on my own (yes on my own without the kids) looking for an outfit for my Grandparents Diamond Wedding Anniversary lunch. Not many couples make it to 60years married so this was a special family occasion.

One week into 2018 and I finally feel the Christmas chaos is behind us and we are back into our routine. I'm not usually one for setting resolutions - before the kids I managed to stop taking sugar in my tea but that's about it. This year is different. 2017 was a great year for us overall. We moved house. The kids settled well in school/pre-school. But while my business exploded and my blog grew, I very much felt like it was all happening without any control. This year I want to steer it down the right path. Sophie from Life as Mrs D has written her 18 goals for 2018 and I've been inspired to write mine to help keep me focused this year.
This weekend saw my Sister in Law turn 40 and I decorated her this very special cake as part of some fun celebrations up in town.
A healthy diet can give your kids a great start in life. The food a child eats can impact on their development and their overall state of health. The British Nutrition Foundation recommends that children should eat a healthy, varied diet which includes starchy carbohydrates, fruit, vegetables, protein and some dairy food.
Of course, it’s much easier to talk about eating the healthy diet recommended by the NHS, than to actually do it. Especially if you’re faced with a brood of fussy eaters. How can you get a little girl who demands a ham sandwich with the crusts cut off at every meal to fall in love with a variety of foods such as bulgur wheat kedgeree with spinach? Here are a few suggestions on how to encourage those fussy eaters to expand the range of food they eat and try new and delicious healthy dishes. Hello 2018! As the year drew to a close I found myself thinking a lot about how my 2017 panned out. It was a super busy year for us and a pretty good one all in all. Thanks to Nina for nominating me to take part in Kate's Highs and Lows of 2017 blogger tag which helped me pin down the special moments (and the not so special). Here's the roundup of my year...
