Little I has been home a month today and we are just about starting to see a vague routine forming through the mist of sleep deprivation, exploded poo and projectile vomit. It would appear that Little I likes to sleep and feed all day then has her 'awake' time from 6pm - 10pm. During this time she is generally grizzly and wants to be held up high most of the time, like she is surveying her kingdom. According to the Internet early evening is classic colic time for little 'uns so perhaps she has a mild case of that. It means she is awake and grizzly for Little E's bedtime and our dinner which makes logistics tricky but we cope. She then tends to sleep a 4 hour stretch followed by an hour/hour and a half feed then a 2-3hr sleep before the next feed. The feed seems to take forever compared to Little E who popped off at 20mins and fell straight back off to sleep. But it means if I sleep when she sleeps at night I can realistically get 6-7hrs in. Completely survivable and doable on my own now Husband is back at work. The problem is Little E has been walking up at 5.30am insisting it is morning and ruining my sleep plan! So this week we have been trying the Groclock sleep trainer to push her back to a 6.30am wake up. We've used it all week and it has been a bit of a battle to keep her in bed until the sun rises on the clock. However, two mornings she woke up after the sun and the excitement she exhibited has given me hope that with a little perseverance she will get the hang of it. It is still early days but we are getting there! This post is linked to #WotW on twitter with @readingres www.readingresidence.com

Good luck. I have heard really good things about Gro Clocks. If that fails there is always bribery! ;) x

Routine is what I lost when we (me & baby) went here in the UK without the guidance of my mother. That is what I am doing right now. Putting some routine back =)

Glad there's some routine coming in now, and you're getting some sleep. My kids are waking earlier at the moment, too, and my 4yo has the gro-clock, which has been hit and miss to be honest! Hope it's a success for you x Thanks for sharing with #WotW
