This week I have mainly been thinking about pancakes. We were at my In Laws for Shrove Tuesday so after an initial OMG panic we moved pancake day to Wednesday. This had the added benefit of being a non-nursery day so Little E and I could enjoy pancake making in the relative calm of the daytime.
Last year was the first time I made pancakes with Little E. She had just turned two and it was a complete disaster which ended in kitchen apocalypse, Little E in the bath and zero pancakes. Since then we have improved on this and actually made savoury pancakes for lunch back in the summer. This year we decided to make sweet pancakes again, because let's face it, pancakes should always be about sugar...
Mum is staying with us at the moment to help out whilst I am recovering from the C section so she was roped in to help Little E with the mixing.
We then fried and flipped and ate them warm with squirty cream and mixed berries. Really delicious and fun tea! Later on Husband came home and had his pancakes smothered in Nutella and chopped banana like a giant child!
