Wicked Wednesday: Spoongate

No you can't hold the spoon Mummy. And I need two, one for each hand. And If you try and feed me from a third I will grab that spoon from you and chuck it on the floor, probably followed by one of mine. Then flash a satisfied smile. Only I control what goes into my mouth.

Unless it's illegal chocolate. I'll let my big sister feed me that.

Ha! Spoons spend more time on the floor than in baby's hands around here too. *Dreams of day when meal time isn't 2% child eating, 98% clean up*

This is such a familiar theme for us too. What is it about spoons. Looks such a cheeky chops, lovely.

I'm quite lucky my 7 month old boy is inately lazy so spoon feeding him is quite easy although finger food not so much.
He picks the food up takes a bite and then promptly slings it on the floor and then looks at me as if to say "what no spoon?!"

What a cutie! I remember when my 4-year-old was that age too. Let's just say that photo looks too familiar ;) #sharewithme.

This sums up mealtimes with my daughter perfectly, especially the tossing on the floor part and the countless of spoons that I keep behind her chair for easy access after the tossing part. I'm glad to see I'm not going mad with my own spoon gate experience. Thanks for sharing :)

Cheeky thing :) Luckily my daughter (18months) waits until she's finished eating before she throws her spoon (and food, and bowl!) on the floor. Carolyn #sharewithme

This made me chuckle so much only because that is exactly what MM has done from the very moment I started weaning her. And it was quickly figured out that she hated puree and just wanted normal sandwiches and solid foods and to feed herself and at almost two now she has never changed. I have never been able to airplane food to her or try to feed her even her yogurt. She has to do it herself. Those independent girls eh? hahaha She is so cute while doing it too.
