Week 37: Building a nest

4/2/2014

My nesting instinct has gone turbo this week as I spend most of my time packing and repacking my hospital bag, folding vests and organising Bump's wardrobe and tidying every corner of the house. I could probably host afternoon tea in the cupboard under the stairs it is that tidy. The situation got a little out of control on Friday night when the washing machine stopped working mid-cycle. Typically Husband was out so I called him in a flap and was told not to worry about it and he'd sort it out the next day. Well, that wasn't going to cut it. The baby could come any minute and I still have laundry to do! Cut to me looking like a crazed woman on my hands and knees fixing the washing machine in a flooded utility room...

We had our bump photo shoot this weekend with my Uncle. It was fun but slightly stressful as Little E was having none if it and had to be bribed with sweets to pose and even then she smiled for about three seconds. If we've got 5 usable shots then we'll be lucky! But it has reassured me that I will have pictures of Bump after panicking about having little photographic evidence of this pregnancy. First time round you take pictures of bump every month but second time you are lucky to get photographed unawares in the background of a shot!

Two weeks today is C section day. Feeling really excited about it now and cannot wait for it to get here. Just feeling anxious that I don't go into labour before then. Last few nights I've been shockingly uncomfortable with backache which has made me a little nervous as Little E's (induced) labour began with bad backache for a day before contractions kicked in. Fingers crossed Bump stays put until 18th!

Aww how exciting, hope all goes well. My waters broke in the early hours of the morning when I had my little man, I went and did the dishes that we'd left from the night before, before phoning the hospital. Funny what you worry about isn't it? :)

Thanks everyone! Feel like I've had a big virtual hug there :-) It is exciting knowing when baby is coming but anxious to see if we make it to the day or if baby has other ideas!

This is so exciting! I remember waiting until my C-section day and hoping {with preview premmy labours!} that I wouldn't go early! But she stayed put so I hope your little one does too. Excited for you! Thanks for linking up to #MMWBH xx
