Valentine's and Mother's Day crafting with Baker Ross

We are a little behind with our craft projects due to Little E's ear operation but this week we have been able to delve into the amazing box of Valentine's and Mother's Day crafts sent in our latest Baker Ross blogger programme box.
With Valentine's Day on the horizon Little E wanted to make some gifts for her Dad, after all he is the love of her life (so far!). She was excited to try the Heart Lanterns Kit (£3.49 for a pack of 4)
Picture
The kit includes four different cut out lantern designs and lots of multicoloured tissue paper squares. Little E chose to make the pink lantern.

The kit was pretty easy for her to make without much supervision. She pushed out all the pre punched design holes then stuck tissue paper on the inside of the lantern choosing alternating white and orange tissue paper. Older children could cut the tissue paper into smaller pieces to create different colours within each window to get a stained glass effect.

She needed a bit of help to construct the lantern at the end but it was super quick. It turned out really well and I need to get an LED tea light to go inside it on Valentine's Day.

Next we made a Valentine's card using some foam sheets (£2.75 for 12 sheets) and crystal stick on stones (£1.99 for 1 sheet of 480 stones)
Picture
We scored the foam with scissors and bent it in half to make the card shape. Then Little E stuck crystals around the edge to form a border. The crystals are connected in lines which made it much easier than sticking each one individually.

Then she had a genius idea. She used discarded shapes from the lantern kit and stuck them on the card. Extra gems were added on top.

She loved having complete control of the card design and I'm sure you'll agree it is very appropriate for Valentine's Day!

Next week we will be focusing on Mother's Day crafting. It always feels odd making Mother's Day stuff with the kids! Really Husband should be taking over with this!

We will be painting some colourful wooden heart decorations (£2.96 for 8) these will be for Nanna as she loves hanging hearts around her home. The Flower Wooden Key Holder (£3.45 for 4) will be great as we have loads of spare keys floating around and this will keep them all tidy.

The kids will be able to show their creativity and express themselves with the Self Portrait kit (£2.99 for 12) and the blank canvases (£3.69 for 2)

I was sent these kits as part of the Baker Ross Blogger Programme. All opinions are my own.

Infertility is not something any woman is supposed to go through in life. I will therefore recommend that you read this. I'm Sarah Weston. I'm from Wisconsin, USA. Married for 11 years with infertility, my infertility journey has ended with the help of Lord Krish Spiritual. I have joined many infertility journey blogs online, and did IVF for 2 years. I searched for solutions to my problem and never relented which has helped me to find the right connection to help me cure this devastating problem. As a patient of endometriosis stage 3, it was really difficult to have a child but with the help of Lord Krish, I got fertile and conceived within days of the herbal treatment which he sent to me through DHL and before I knew it, my womb was opened and I conceived and was finally pregnant with twins babies. I never believed it was possible after 11 years of marriage. I gave birth to twins, Dale and Diane. I want to say thank you to Lord Krish and to everyone who has helped me both mentally and emotionally through this journey. Lord Krish solved my problem for me and I promised him to manifest his work to other people and friends. His Email to reach out to him is ([email protected])
