 I haven't had much spare time over the past few weeks with the back to school madness but I have started some new shows and am using my Netflix app to watch box sets while doing the housework and cooking! Here's what I'm watching at the moment: Bodyguard - BBC 1 Oh dear lord! Anyone who watched the first couple of episodes of the new BBC thriller following the Close Protection Unit of the Police knows what I am talking about. Stop what you are doing and turn on iplayer now! The Alienist - Netflix Set in 1896, New York psychologist Laszlo Kreisler is enlisted by Police Commissioner Theodore Roosevelt to track down a serial killer murdering and mutilating young boyS. Period dramas aren't usually my thing but the thriller aspect of this one drew me in, plus I was intrigued to see Dakota Fanning in a series. It's ok, has some interesting themes including the role of women in that time. It's easy to keep half an eye on in the background but doesn't set the world on fire. The Great British Bake Off - Channel 4 Bake off is back! I'm recording this series and watching it with the girls after school which is so lovely. They are enjoying it so much they are watching the old episodes on Netflix. It has been encouraging my eldest to get involved in the kitchen more too which is a plus. I still miss Mel and Sue but overall the format is the same as the original and you can't help but enjoy watching the highs and lows in the tent.

Loved the Bodyguard! The plot was a bit iffy in places but the dialogue, acting and suspense was top notch! I'm also watching For the People on Sky Witness.
