The Perfect Winter Outfit with Simply Be

Autumn and Winter are some of my favourite months because I can break out the boots, chunky knits and layer up! So when online women’s clothing retailer Simply Be challenged me to create my own perfect Winter look from their extensive ranges I was in fashion heaven.
I have loads of daytime engagements planned leading up to Christmas and in particular a brunch date with my Besties. I decided this would be the perfect event to style my outfit around. The Simply Be website is very easy to navigate and one thing you’ll notice immediately is the models look like real women because Simply Be celebrates curves. As a shapely size 12-14 this is to be applauded plus it’s great to get an idea of how the clothes will look on someone similar to my size.

While I want to look like I’ve made an effort with my attire I also want my day wear to be flexible, comfortable and importantly during the colder months warm! So I was drawn towards capsule pieces which can be mixed and matched with other items and also layered up.

The first wardrobe staple was a trusty pair of skinny blue jeggings. Comfortable and the perfect canvas to layer upon. Simply Be’s Amber leggings (£20) fit the brief perfectly but the sizing does run a little big so size down (always a bonus) and I needed the long length for my 5’6’’ frame.

Next up I wanted a lightweight knit which I could dress up or down depending on the event. This Metallic V Neck Batwing Jumper (£30) from the Capsule range has the perfect amount of sparkle for the lead up to the festive season but has a relaxed shape for day wear.

Because Winter is all about layering I chose a very on trend Black Blanket Wrap with belt (£34) also from the Capsule range. Personally I actually prefer to style this kind of wrap without the belt as I think it’s a more flattering to my shape. The wrap isn’t too thick so perfect for wearing for short periods outside on milder days but you’d need a proper coat of venturing too far.

Lastly my outfit needed a little bit of bling. When it comes to earrings the bigger the better in my opinion and these Seed bead Tassel earrings (£12) are stunning (but be warned they are quite heavy!) and finish off my outfit perfectly.
With my outfit and some lippy on I was ready for my brunch date thanks to Simply Be!

Thank you to Simply Be for sending me these clothes to review. All opinions are my own.

I am loving the batwing jumper with the jeggings, such a great choice. I haven't shopped at Simply be before, I will have to try them.

Their prices are really reasonable. The jeggings look fantastic on you. I've only just discovered them myself. The whole outfit is perfect now it's colder.

I love your choices, you look great. I'm breastfeeding at the moment so the wrap would be really helpful and cosy at the same time.
