The Christmas Diet: Week 2

24/11/2015

Another good week on the scales with a 1.2lb loss - that is 5.2lb over 2 weeks which I am more than happy with.

On the exercise front I did not have a great week. I have been suffering badly with my muscles. Since my first daughter's birth nearly 5 years ago I have suffered with Pelvic Floor Dysfunction and I've relapsed into severe pelvic spasms this week. This tension is caused by the pelvic floor being triggered into spasm then unable to relax which causes more tension and spasms perpetuating a cycle which is hard to break. As a result I was not able to exercise as planned and spent most of the week just getting through the day!

This week I have planned some relaxation sessions through my Yoogaia membership. In particular Yogic Sleep looks like a good class to help me try and 'switch off' my pelvic floor. Wish me luck!
Meal planning this week is a little unusual this week as Husband is off to France for a long weekend but I'm focusing on staying healthy and getting another few pounds off before Christmas.

Homemade vegetable soup
Courgetti spaghetti
Gammon and steak kebabs with salad
Chicken baked in cherry tomato sauce and roasted kale
Salt and pepper basa fillets with pesto bulgur wheat

The Yogic Sleep sounds really interesting - are you finding it is helping? I suffered with SPD during my pregnancy, even getting up the stairs involved walking like a crab so I cannot imagine what you are going through - just take it easy on yourself! A fantastic loss over 2 weeks that is great start to your Christmas diet! Bring it on! :) Thank you for linking up with #WeightLossWednesday! Sim xx
