Santa Claus is coming to town!

It is Christmas week and we have been ramping up the festive fun over the past few days. Santa has featured highly on the agenda.

Little E and her Bestie Little B met a very impressive Santa at Hobbledown's lunch with Santa. This was the first year they weren't scared and to my astonishment they walked confidently into grotto without even a hint of unease. Look! an actual photo of them next to Santa!

Little I was a little unsure when she met the big man and cling firmly to the Elf who was bouncing her about.

The the Rotary Club float passed by our house at bedtime blasting out Christmas tunes. The timing could not have been more perfect as I had just told Little E she was about to be transferred to the naughty list for younger sibling bullying when the doorbell rang. Her face was a picture when she saw Santa standing there. She now believes I have the power to summon him at will. Genius!

Our final encounter with Santa was at the nursery Christmas party. A very friendly Santa he was too, if a little less authentically dressed than the Hobbledown Santa! (Note: it was completely accidental that Little E was wearing the same clothes to meet both Santas. She does have more than out outfit, promise...)

There a few days left between now and Christmas Eve so we may meet Santa again on our travels but of we don't we have been given out instructions; we have been nominated to feed Cupid this year (he likes carrots and apples apparently) and Santa requested a traditional mince pie and a glass of milk. Yum!
