I don't wear a huge amount of make up and since having the kids my make up routine consists of whatever I can do in under a minute with a 2yr old hanging off my arm. I've been trialling a new redness concealer from ReCover cosmetics which claims to neutralise skin tone, eliminating those annoying red patches with only a thin layer of concealer. It has been develops by professional make up artist Annabel Jardella and comes in six different shades from very light to dark tan. I have been been trialling 'fair' which is the 3rd lightest shade in the range. In the photo above I have applied a very small amount of the concealer to one half of my face while the other side is completely make up free. You can see that the redness around my nose, chin and forehead has been toned down quite considerably and my skin looks generally the same tone and blemish free. I was quite surprised how little I needed and how light the product is. But using ReCover has made me realise just how dry my skin is. The concealer highlights the dry patches and looks flaky, so I need to put some serious time into hydrating to negate this problem. My usual concealer is oiler and thicker which suits my skin type better. ReCover Correct and Conceal Red is £28.00 for 5ml, so it isn't a cheap option. It is hard to judge how long a tube will last as I have only been using it for a week or so but you definitely don't need a lot to get effective coverage and it certainly evens out my skin tone making me look less patchy.
You can find out more and buy at recovercosmetics.com I was sent a sample of ReCover Correct & Conceal to trial but all opinions are my own.
