Review: DIWAH Jewellery Design

Jewellery is a passion of mine. When I met Husband he was astonished by the number of earrings I owned, over 365 pairs so technically I could wear a different pair each day. When the jewellery designers at DIWAH contacted me to trial their new jewellery design software I knew I was the girl for the job.

There are three ways to buy the beautiful designs from DIWAH; You can buy straight from their stunning ranges of jewellery. Easy. Or if you fancy something more individual you can submit your ideas to the jewellery design team and they will create a couple of different unique designs for you to choose from. But if you feel really adventurous you can use their jewellery design software to create your own necklace from scratch.
Using the design software is pretty simple. Firstly you choose the style of necklace you want to make from 6 templates.

Then you choose the a component collection to build from. This includes all your beads, chains, pendants and fastenings. I liked the Bold and Candy palettes but you also have Tribal, Romance, Goddess, Boho, Classic, Urban, Rebel and Sea Breeze to choose from. So whatever your style there will be something which appeals to you.

When you open the editor you have a template to build your design around and all your components to select from on the right.

You simply drag and drop elements from the right hand side box across to your necklace and drop them in place.

You can insert single beads or chain links or fill full rows or sections with the same style or a simple repeat pattern.

Whilst it is very intuitive it is fiddly. It took me a little while to work out how to move elements around once on the chain and I did struggle a little getting it to look symmetrical or to highlight some beads.

After a good couple of hours playing I had a design I was pleased with some of my creations but I wanted to also try out the DIWAH jewellery design service to see what the professionals would create for me using the same design themes.
I was sent 3 designs to choose from which range from £50 - £75.

I instantly fell in love with the middle deign 'Unreal'. I love pink, purple and blue tones and I have been wanting to expand my gold jewellery collection. Here's my necklace being made in the studio - how exciting!

And here is the finished necklace! It looks as beautiful in the flesh and it is quite heavy. The agate hues and semi-precious stones look amazing, enhanced by the crystallised druzy agate pendant.

The clasp is a super strong magnet which is very easy to put on and gives a high end feel to the necklace. It will go with so much of my wardrobe and I cannot wait to show it off!
