 Lest we forget... It has been quite a few years since I properly picked up a paintbrush, but I received some shiny new paints for my birthday and when I sat down with blank paper before me a poppy instantly came to mind. Poppies always remind me of a very special man who fought in the Burma Campaign during WW2. The last time I painted a poppy was for him.We lost him over 7yrs ago but he shared his birthday with my eldest so we honour him every year alongside her. The poppy I painted him 10yrs ago now hangs in my In Law’s dining room. A reminder of him and the many.
