Today's moan is possibly the most annoying thing about the second half of any pregnancy coinciding with the Winter months - Maternity tights. Baby bump is due two days before Little E's third birthday so I am repeating my pregnancy experience in the exact same months. It is quite freaky how similar it all feels and today the bitter cold and growing bump has forced to me abandon the so comfortable leggings and ballet pumps and wear the dreaded maternity tights to work. I was hoping it wouldn't be as bad as i feared because surely in the begging stages of bump formation they fit ok? Wrong... I ventured out this morning, bump all tucked in underneath the tights but by lunctime the sag had begun to set in and as I was walking across the office to the printer I could feel the tights rolling down my (still relatively small) bump and creeping down my thighs. By mid afternoon things were getting ridiculious and I was visiting the bathrooms at half-hourly intervals to hoist them up. Let's not even mention what happened at the nursery pick up but then I was beyond caring and just wanted to get home and free myself so I could walk without looking like some weird imitation of a penguin, pinning my knees together... It is a carbon copy of my experience with the dreaded hoisery last pregnancy and I tried all the different makes back then without success. If I am forced to go down the Superman route (pants over tights) to keep them up as so many mums on forums seem to do I think my husband will die laughing... Help! Someone save me from this fate!
