Here's Why Your Living Room Doesn't Work

Do you look at your living room and wish it was different, but you just can’t figure out why? You’ve come to the right place! There are numerous reasons your living room may not be working for you right now. Read on, and you may just be able to pinpoint where things are going wrong in your living room space:

You Haven’t Considered Your Lifestyle

If your living room never quite feels comfortable or immersive, the issue may not be your furniture or decoration, but how the space is designed to be used. Many modern homes are now rethinking layout, lighting and sound to better suit how families actually relax and entertain. For example, if your family enjoys relaxing together in front of the big screen, you should upgrade your living room with cinema experience to create a space that truly works for movie nights, gaming and everyday downtime.

You’ve Pushed Your Furniture Against The Wall

Pushing your furniture against the wall is one of the worst crimes you can commit when trying to create a nice living room space. Why would you invest in one of the best living room furniture sets out there only to push it against the wall? You might think that this creates more space, but it can make the place feel wrong. By pulling it away from the wall and even angling it ever so slightly, you will find that the living room flows better.

You’ve Cluttered The Space Up

If you’ve cluttered the space up, it’s best to remove everything and start again. Having too many accessories can create visual clutter and make your living room appear messy. You should be more choosy about what you bring into your living room and make a note of how it will fit the space.

You’ve Mixed Too Many Patterns

Mixing patterns is great, but mixing more than 3 usually needs an expert hand. If you're going to mix patterns, they should all be different sizes to create interest. You should also include one around 60%, another around 30%, and another only 10%. This creates more of a balance in the home!

You Don’t Have A Theme Or Colour Scheme

If you’re struggling to make your living room work, you may need a theme or a chosen colour scheme before you begin. Simply choosing things you like as you go along doesn’t always work, and can make it look messy. Try making a Pinterest board to see the various styles you like and get a better idea of how you want the finished room to look.

You Haven’t Considered Where You Live

If you live in a cool climate and yet you’ve decorated your living in black and white with very little texture, it’s going to feel cold and uninviting. If you live in a warm climate and your living room is full of warm materials, it may feel too much. You need to think about where you live carefully to make the room seem more inviting.

Have you pinpointed the reason your living room doesn’t work? Hopefully, you’ll now be able to create a space you’re truly happy with! If you need a contractor to help your living room look fantastic click here  and leave any of your own tips below. See you again soon!

Aw yes mixing patterns is great but like you said if you mix too many themes it does not work. I wish I had a living room though x

I hadn't realised pushing furniture up against the wall was a bad move but it makes so much sense! I'm currently trying to re-vamp our rental living room at the moment on a budget so this post was so helpful :)

We have so much clutter. One of our sofas is completely covered in toys so someone has to sit on the floor!

This spiritual caster known as Lord Krish is really great in helping you get your ex back and making your infertility cured. I am happy to be one of the people to publish about him on the internet as a trusted and reliable spell caster. I am Lorraine Davis from Michigan, USA. Problems began to happen in my marriage after the 4th year of marriage and my husband began to cheat and sleep with other women because I was infertile and was not able to bear him a child. I contacted Lord Krish after reading comments on google and youtube about how he has been helping people and contacted his email: [email protected] to communicate with him and we spoke on Whats-App too. It's been more than a year now and I am happy to write about my encounter with him. Within 2 days of contact, my husband came home and apologized to me for his behavior and pleaded with me to forgive him. Before I knew it, I received the natural fertility herbal cure from the UPS which he sent to me and I became fertile. I conceived and gave birth to twin girls which made me very happy. As a result, my husband throughout my trimester periods, loved me even more. How grateful I am to be happy in my relationship. Contact Lord Krish through email at [email protected] if you are passing through any problem to help you and you will be glad you did
