Easter has come early at RHS Wisley Gardens in Surrey. We spent a fantastic, chilly day there today hunting the Lindt Gold Bunny which took us on a tour of the gardens and the amazing Glasshouse. The gardens do look a little barren at this time of year but the buds are starting to appear and you can imagine how glorious it must look in Summer. The Lindt Gold Bunny hunt took us around the Walled Garden, up through the alpines in the Rock Garden, through the Fruit Garden and Orchard ending up in the magnificent Glasshouse. The kids had to follow the questions on the hunt sheet and the location of the bunny at each location gave them the answer. It was rather chilly so we we were all pleased to bask in the warmth of the Glasshouse! I fell in love with the Orchids and got a little obsessed with photographing them! I wish I had my DSLR with me! The kids loved the hippo in the pond and had to be dragged away eventually! We were sure Little I was going to end up in one of the ponds as she was running around like a loon! At the end of our walk the girls handed in their hunt sheets and were rewarded with their Lindt Gold Bunny! They didn't last long... The Lindt Gold Bunny hunt is running from 19th March to 10th April. Entry costs around £14 per adult, £7 for kids over 5 and free for under 5's. You can save 10% by booking online and the membership packages are fantastic value if you plan on visiting multiple times per year.
I'll leave you with some more shots of the orchids!

We love visiting Wisley! Not many flowers out yet though! I've scaled the rock gardens many times, much to my mummy's dismay! Lots of steep steps for a toddler! Great bunny hunting! Looks like you had a fab day! #countrykids xx

What gorgeous orchids. I keep meaning to visit Wisley - I see the sign every time I drive down to visit my brother, and he goes a lot, but I haven't made it yet. #countrykids

A lindt bunny hunt now that I like the sound of! though it was quite a small bunny reward. Those lovely orchids do look beautiful and the hippo pond sounds fun. Wisley used to be down the road from me and I hardly ever visited, looking at your photos I should have gone more. Looks like a great place to visit at any time of year and all the more special with the bunny hunt at Easter. Thank you for sharing with me on #CountryKids
