Back to School 2020 with Smiggle

The kids are FINALLY both back to school in a couple of weeks and now we know what they are and aren't allowed to take in with them we made our annual pilgrimage to Smiggle to chose some fun back to school essentials guaranteed to make the school run a little brighter. 

For those of you who don't know Smiggle is fusion of Smile and Giggle, which is very apt as you can't help but smile in the store  as it is full of so much colour and my kids are always drawn towards it when we visit our local shopping mall. 

As we entered the new Budz collection immediately caught our eye. Featuring some very fun animal characters the Budz collection has insulated has loads to chose from including lunch boxes, easy clean drinks bottles, wallets, stationery and backpacks which all match.

​The girls particularly liked the super cute leopard and purple unicorn cat deigns. We also spotted a pink rabbit, a scary shark and green dinosaur so you'll be sure to find something for every child no matter what they are into!

We always need a couple of water bottles as they always get left at school, left in bedrooms or lost in the back of the car for days on end. I don't think I've ever seen more water bottles in one place than at Smiggle! And STOP THE PRESS they make water bottles which also spritz water on you!!! I certainly needed one of these when the heatwave hit earlier this month. The kids never want the ones I want so I should have got myself one. 

​We ended up going for an assortment including some from the Budz range (the unicorn cat won) and a silicone water bottle which rolls up when empty. It also has a cool pink carabina clip so E can attach it easily to her school bag (and I don't have to carry it!). 

E has gone vegetarian so she'll be switching to packed lunches this year. This meant a nice new lunch box to choose. Again the variety was immense with loads of different vibrant designs. We spent a long time weighing up the pros and cons of the different designs, really thinking about what is going in and what would work best. 

After what felt like a decade and much to her little sister's relief she ended up choosing one from the Cheer range which is actually aimed at younger kids but she really loved the long cross body rainbow strap and the fact that it had a water bottle holder on the side to pop her lunch water bottle in (you see now why we need so many water bottles). 

There was also a sale in our local Smiggle store with 50% off sale prices and Little I couldn't resist a cute purple owl she spotted on our way to the tills. With the save 30% discount on full price items when you spend £50 and the sale discounts our Smiggle haul was great value for money and the great quality products always last and last.
