Over the Summer I co-hosted a baby shower for my little Sister-in-law. We knew she was pregnant with a baby boy so one Sunday we pretended to take her out for lunch but when she arrived she found a hoard of us in the garden ready to celebrate her pending arrival.
I was in charge of games which was great as I had a set of baby shower games I had created for my bestie's baby shower (you can download them as free baby shower games printables here) plus we played the peg game where you peg 3 pegs on your top and if you say the word 'baby' someone can steal a peg. Little E was a master at this game!
I had been sent some new blue glitter jelly from Hartley's which fit the theme perfectly. I bought some plastic martini glasses with blue stems and filled them with the jelly. I'd class it more shimmery than glittery but they were a huge hit with the kid's at the party and the mixed berry flavour was really tasty.
I also wanted to create a memento as keepsake of the day. I ordered some lovely wooden blocks and sharpie pens and asked each guest to draw a picture on each sides. We all signed a canvas bag like a guest book and put all the bricks inside ready for baby to play with as he grows up. The guests all loved the idea and really got into it. Definitely an idea I will repeat!
I ordered a few different kinds of bricks bit these ones were great quality and the perfect size
