I can't believe my baby is 6 weeks old! Literally flying by. She is gorgeous and has started talking which is very exciting! She coos and squeaks when she is happy and grunts and groans when cross. Little E thinks it is fantastic. Her neck is getting so strong and the strength in her legs is also increasing and she really pushes down, especially when impatient for a feed. She is getting chunky with gorgeous chubby cheeks and a little double chin. She is weighing in at 10lb 81/2oz (or 4.77kg) if you prefer and the thought that some women give birth to babies this big is making me feel a little faint! The week has been lovely. Husband had a day off work and we went to the park to feed the ducks. I've been doing lots of breastfeeding in public and am getting the hang of not flashing my boob at the entire coffee shop. Little I has decided to stop pooing 10 times a day and instead to do one giant poo which explodes out of her happy and up her back. We had poo on her ear at one point which was lovely... I even managed coffee with my NCT mummies at the weekend WITHOUT THE 3YR OLDS! We haven't been that civilised since maternity leave first time round. One of them has a bump due in May which is exciting but also felt odd knowing I won't ever have a bump again. Little I was very well behaved sleeping through the date but then decided to wake at the end for a simultaneous feed and happy explosion. Great. Sleeping has been ok this week with only one bad night. Generally speaking Little I feeds at 10pm, 2am and 6am which isn't bad and allows me to plan accordingly. Her grumpy time is between 6pm and 10pm when she wants to cluster feed just as I am putting Little E to bed and making dinner! So wish I had smaller boobs so I could feed her in a sling whilst doing all these things but keeping her latched requires sitting still and both hands most of the time! Something exciting also happened this week - Chicco have asked me to be part of their blogger network and we will be reviewing products for them over the next year! Very excited! Well done on the public breast feeding. It took me ages to manage the discrete feed under my scarf . Our little L was also fractious during these times and also fed at about 2am and 6am!!
