Baby diary: Week 28

Our little girl went into her big girl bed this week after 3wks of terrible night waking. And it worked! She has settled really well and is only waking once in the night for a feed now. Obviously she was feeling squished on her bedside cot. Mummy feels like new woman!

Peaceful sleep

Naps are also falling into a regular pattern. She gets tired at around 10.30am and sleeps for a couple of hours. Then in the afternoon she has a quick power nap in the car/pram or on Mummy's lap.

So generally a lot more settled this week now we aren't sleep deprived! But we did get the results of her barium X-ray back and she does have a sliding hiatus hernia. We have to see a surgeon but hopefully if things stay settled she'll just need monitoring. She is now eating 3 meals a day, avoiding any acidic foods which may give her heartburn. The omeprazole anti reflux medication seems to be helping so we are going to continue with it.
