Baby diary: Week 11

Little I continues to interact with us more and more. She loves to chat and coo. She gets very excited when Little E sits down with her and they natter away together making no sense at all. If you ignore her she starts getting cross making huffing, bleating noises until you resume eye contact and tickle her under her chin which makes her smile.

She is showing lots of interest in her toys and gets very excited kicking about. She has even grabbed at a them a few times catching the bee and shaking him about. The enthusiasm means she manages to shimmy around the playmat from the force of her kicking.

We tried tummy time again with slightly better results. She hates being put directly faced own onto her playmat but she tolorates the Lamaze spinner for five minutes at a time. Little E gets a bit overexcited and tries to spin her like a roundabout so close supervision is required!

We love the Lamaze range and we tried out her new hand and foot finder set which we enjoyed but a Little I seems rather indifferent to at the moment. In the picture you can see she is wearing a fantastic Baby Baker babygrow we received as a gift when she was born. I have been dying for her to wear and it finally fits! It is my favourite outfit and it gets so many compliments when we are out.

Sleep continues to be reasonable but she does seem to want to go into her deep, night sleep about 7pm which is a little early for me to go to bed. I've been trying a dream feed around 10pm to try and top her up so I get a few hours before she wakes hungry but it has been hit and miss. The knock on effect of this early evening sleeping is that she is more awake (and somewhat grumpy) the next day, refusing to have a proper sleep until late afternoon some days. She is feeding a lot more efficiently now though with an average feed lasting about 20minutes.

Visitors this week included Great-Uncle Steve who thought she looked just like Mummy and cousin Dani who was very taken with her and enjoyed lots of snuggle cuddles. We also visited Bestie's beautiful new house and Little I slept through the housewarming lunch on a beanbag with Woody for company.

We had one of those Lamaze spinners for Arthur too - it was literally the only way we could get him to spend any time on his tummy without screaming!

Ahhh bless her she is so adorable. Love the last photo of her sleeping with the woody doll too precious. I have never seen the spinner lamaze mat. That's awesome. Missy Moo hates being on her tummy. Forever and one day she just rolled over and crawl backwards and it never bothered her since. Funny how each child is different. She is growing up so fast right before our very eyes. Lovely. Thank you so much for linking up to Share With Me I love your updates it makes me want another one so bad. lol #sharewithme

What a great idea to record every little milestone on a weekly basis, I am won over. That Lamaze tummy-time spinner is brilliant! I have never seen anything like it before and will be looking into it when my little one is born. We were never really good with 'tummy time' with our three as they always seemed so uncomfortable! It is certainly the only way we an get her on her stomach at the moment so well worth it but my eldest didn't use it much as she was ok just being plonked on the mat so depends on the baby x
