I am very excited to announce we have been chosen as ambassadors for Cow & Gate's new 5 step weaning programme! I combination wean my babies so we follow the traditional spoon feeding route but I also give them finger foods with most meals to develop their coordination and self-feeding. The 5 step weaning plan is an incredibly easy to follow step by step guide to traditional weaning and already it has given me new ideas to try out with Little I such as avocado, cauliflower and salmon. I'm amazed I didn't think of them before but they aren't my favourites so that is probably why! You don't have to register but if you do you can create your own tailored weaning plan and track your babies likes and dislikes. You get money off coupons too - who doesn't love a coupon! We will be trying out lots of recipes from the plan over the next few weeks including the goodies we have been sent so keep an eye out for them. We are just coming out of the weaning stages but I did a bit of spoon feeding with finger foods thrown in (if they weren't too messy). Baby D still can't feed himself though... one day...
