There is nothing better than a lovely cup of tea but with so many myths surrounding tea it is hard to know if our beloved cuppa is actually good for us or not? I joined forces with the lovely people at the Tea Advisory Panel (TAP) and the expert tea blenders at Ahmad Tea to bust those black tea myths once and for all (Plus you can win some lovely tea!)
“Is the high level of fluoride in tea harmful?”
No, in fact flouride is good for our teeth. The tea plant accumulates fluoride from the soil making a cup of tea a natural source of fluoride. That's a win! “Is drinking tea bad for our bones?” No. Turning traditional thinking on it's head, recent research is now suggesting that drinking tea can actually have a positive effect on bones. Studies among older women have found that women who drank four or more cups of tea a day had improved bone density compared to female non-tea drinkers. Plus if you add milk to your tea you are adding calcium, which is important for bone health. Fact: the milk in four cups of tea provides 21% of an adult's daily calcium requirements. “Does tea contain as much caffeine as coffee?” Nope. A cup of tea contains about a third of the caffeine in a standard cup of filtered coffee and much less compared to an espresso. “Does tea count to your 8 cups of fluid a day?” Tea is basically 99% water. It is a great source of fluid and can count towards your recommended 8 cups (approx 2 litres) of water a day. Hooray! Tea is officiall good for us! Win Ahmad Tea selections and mug!
One lucky reader can win an iconic Ahmad Tea mug, a box of their finest Classic Tea Selection and, for those who prefer a different cuppa, the light and refreshing Green tea selection.
You can find out more about the history and quality of Ahmad Tea over at ahmadtea.com To enter simply complete the Rafflecopter form below by 6th Februry 2017. T&C's apply, Good Luck!
t&C's: UK entrants over 18yrs old only. 1 winner will recieve 1 x mug, 1 x box of Classic Selection tea and 1 x box Green tea selection. The winners will be contacted within 48hrs of the competition closing. Competition closes 6th February 2017 at 12AM GMT. Infertility is not something any woman is suppose to go through in life. I will therefore recommend that you read this. I'm Sarah Weston. I'm from Wisconsin, USA. Married for 11 years with infertility, my infertility journey has ended with the help of Lord Krish Spiritual. I have joined many infertility journey blogs online, did IVF for 2 years. I searched for solutions to my problem and never relented which has helped me to find the right connection to help me cure this devastating problem. As a patient of endometriosis stage 3, it was really difficult to have a child but with the help of Lord Krish, I got fertile and conceived within days of the herbal treatment which he sent to me through DHL and before I knew it, my womb was opened and I conceived and was finally pregnant with twins babies. I never believed it was possible after 11 years of marriage. I gave birth to twins, Dale and Diane. I want to say thank you to Lord Krish and to everyone who has helped me both mentally and emotionally through this journey. Lord Krish solved my problem for me and I promised him to manifest his work to other people and friends. His Email to reach out to him is ([email protected])
