Easter is super early this year so we are making a start on our craft projects. Baker Ross have sent us a bumper box of Easter themed treats so let's see what we have been up to! Little E was desperate to paint the Bird Ceramic Planters (£4.99 for 4). We were sent a pack of really vibrant ceramic paints (£9.99 for 6) to use on them. Of course as soon as she started painting Little I wanted to get in on the action so she painted a couple of birds too. Being quite young they went very abstract with the design but I think the effect is brilliant. When the paint had dried I baked the birds in the oven for 90 minutes as per the instructions on the bottle. All we need now is some little plants to put inside so the girls can give them to their Grandparents for Easter. Once Little I got painting she didn't want to stop! So we got out the poster paints and she had a go at painting the Mini Birdhouse Gift Boxes (£2.99 for 10). They come flat so she could paint freehand and then when the paint dried I could pop out the pieces, fold and glue to create little house shaped boxes. We are going to buy some mini foil wrapped chocolate eggs and fill the boxes for their Aunties and Uncles. Little E wants to have a go at decorating some too with the Bunny Pop-a-crayons (£1.99 for 5) which we were sent in the box. While Little I was painting the houses Little E was making the Tissue Paper Flower Kits (£3.49 for 6) which are a very similar technique to making tissue pom poms. This is a great craft because it is mess free! The colours of the flowers really pop and they look fab placed together in a vase and would make a lovely Easter table centerpiece. We have a couple of craft kits left to try over the long Easter weekend. The Wooden Arrow Plaques (£3.45 for 3) will be great to paint with Easter messages. The Easter Egg Fuse Bead Kits (£3.96 for 6) are a great afternoon activity for Little E to try when her little Sister is having a nap. You can buy all these Easter craft kits and more at fantastic prices on the Baker Ross website. I was sent these craft materials as part of the Baker Ross Blogger Programme. All opinions are my own.
