We are delighted to be hosting the Bobby and Bubba’s Small Adventure’s Book Tour today! If you haven’t heard of Bobby and Bubba Coombs where have you been?! They are an adorable pair of British (not French) Bulldogs who are more famous in Chelsea than Roman Abramovich. This delightful book written by Bobby and Bubba’s Grandpa, Anthony Coombs, is full of charming and funny little stories written for children of all ages - so who better to review the book than my littlest who is about to turn nine… Little I over to you! Bobby and Bubba are really cheeky and they love sleeping. They cuddle up to each other at night. I love sleeping too so we would make really great friends. Bobby is the smaller bulldog and he is the funniest. He gets really excited and does silly things like barking in his sleep and wetting the bed! In the book I loved the story of him unplugging the running machine and his Grandma nearly falling off it! The illustration was really funny. He’s so clever doing that but as I said he’s really silly sometimes. Bubba is his big brother. He is really cuddly and he is much calmer than Bobby. He doesn’t growl much and he’s a good boy (most of the time, apart from when he bit his Daddy but that was only once). Bobby gets on his nerves sometimes but he puts up with him because he loves him very much. The book is a collection lots of little stories which are quite short and a good length to read at bedtime. The illustrations are great and really helped bring the stories to life with lots of colour. I really enjoyed reading each story and Mummy found them funny too. You should definitely read this book and you’ll love Bobby and Bubba as much as me! I hope there are more stories in the future. That sounds to me like an overwhelming recommendation for this book! Bobby and Bubba's Small Adventures by Antony Coombs and illustrated by Adam Share is available to buy now from Amazon in hardpack, paperback and on Kindle.
