It’s that time of year again, hot chocolate, twinkling lights, and the festive tunes on the radio. But if, like me, you groan a little at the thought of picking “safe but boring” gifts (yes, socks again… sigh), then this year is going to be different. Welcome to the All About A Mummy Christmas Gift Guide: a curated collection of thoughtful, fun and family-friendly ideas that’ll make you feel a little less stressed and a lot more excited about gifting. As a mum to two cheeky girls (and one equally cheeky husband in tow), I’ve learnt that the perfect present isn’t about the price tag or the sparkle. It’s about the reaction: the surprised gasp, the grin. Whether you’re shopping for your best friend, your partner, or even yourself, I’ve got you covered. So sit back, perhaps treat yourself that second mince-pie, and let’s get snipping and clicking. Because this year, you’re not just buying “stuff”, you’re giving moments, memories and that warm fuzzy feeling when someone unwraps exactly what you hoped they’d love. Let the festive fun begin! UKIYO Japanese GINNow, it wouldn't be Christmas if I didn't recieve a botle of gin from somone... and this year I have been blown away by Ukiyo Gin. You know I love a pretty bottle, and look how stunning these are! My favourite is the Japanese Blossom Gin which is distilled with sakura (cherry) blossom flowers and leaf and literally bursts with flavour. I am hoping the Japanese Yuzu gin is in my stocking this year. If Vodka is more of your tipple they also make a Japanese Rice Vodka which sounds like a super interesting Christmas gift and I bet they won't have tried it... Available direct from Ukiyo or most supermarkets. Lakeland Leather Tote Bag
Knife Making Experience DayIf you’re shopping for someone who’s impossible to buy for, the “already has everything” type, this is the gift that’ll make their eyes light up. A viking knife-making experience day (£225.00) is exactly what it sounds like: It’s hands-on, fiery, and just the right amount of dramatic. It’s unusual, and a total win for anyone who loves a challenge. This would be a fantastic gift for my Dad. I wish we lived closer to Soulful Iron in Gloucestershire, but if you do or you know somone who does, this is the perfect gift. The website also has a host of hand forged products you can order for delivery. They make brilliant stocking fillers, especially if you want something unique that isn’t mass-produced. If you need more inspiration take a look at my gift guide archives which are jam packed with ideas for unique and treasured gifts.
