It's quite likely you have heard of Steig Larsson's Millennium series and his anarchic anti-hero Lisbeth Salander, the originalz Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Sadly Larsson died before a single word of his 80 million copy selling trilogy had been published. After a long drawn out legal battle between Larsson's family and long term partner for control of his literary estate, a new Millennium book was published 11 years after his death - but it isn't the continuation of the series Larsson had planned and has been heavily criticized by his partner.

So what do I make of this 4th novel? Is it a welcome addition to the Millennium Story or would it have been better to allow the series to die with Steig?

Last year I read the scariest book I have ever encountered: Behind Closed Doors by B.A.Paris. This was some feat as I've been reading the psychological thriller and horror genres for over 25 years and honestly believed I was immune! No wonder it has sold over 1million copies in 37 countries around the world. I couldn't wait to meet the author of my nightmares at the book signing of B.A. Paris' latest thriller Bring Me Back at Waterstones in Farnham last week and I'm intrigued to find out if it packs the same fearsome punch as Behind Closed Doors.

When Cora finds out her famous husband is cheating on her and his mistress is pregnant with his child she leaves and moves upstate in an attempt to put the experience behind her and build her life again.

Two years later Cora's new world is rocked when her Ex, his new wife and child move to her town, disrupting her new routines and resurfacing all the old feelings she thought she had put behind her. Daniel Gluck is 101 in a state of extended sleep and not sure if he is dead or young again. Elizabeth Demand is 32, single, looking to the future in a country divided by a historic vote. This story is set in a post Brexit Summer filled with hope and hopelessness in equal measure.

Firstly do not confuse this book with the bestseller The Girl on the Train. It is definitely not that book. They were first published the same month so looks like the similarities it is just conincidental but I’m sure the confusion has boosted sales!

As the trio gets closer to the truth they realise sometimes on the journey you find out more about yourself that the person you are looking for.

Now as a famous medium with her own TV talk show (think Oprah but with messages from dead loved ones) she has the world at her feet. But her quest for fame and fortune is at the expense of her psychic instincts and after a reading goes wrong she tries to recover her reputation but when this backfires her world quickly unravels on live TV.
